  1. Its harder and harder to keep the hype up when players ACTUALLY see the game.
Good observation that there was a lot of systems showed in isolation but never ever part of actual test game. like the weather system and the beautiful grass.

  2. we shall find out in 2028. I am not worried about it at all. I am not paying a dime until it is ready for live. If it falls short…o' well, moving on. I hope they can pull it off but I will not hold my breathe. There are other fun games to play. The classic MMORPG is basically dead anyway (82% of community is all 32+ yrs old). I have been having fun with games like PoE, Black Myth: Wukong, Helldivers (at launch), & Space Marines. Maybe that is simply where to put my $$$ for games.

  3. tbh i wont blamee them for anything untill phase 3 of A2 as long as they actually fix and work on things that were reported during the weekend tests i also think PvP in stages 1 and 2 will hurt the tests they could make a smaller zone where u could have always PvP and of the rest of them map something like new world where each player can flag himself for PvP.. nobody will care if they get corruption during phase1.. and there are already guilds forming with 300+ players ppl wont have a chance to leave the settlemant.. but im pretty sure if they see the problem with pvp and enough feeedback they will turn pvp off atleast in phase1

  4. I'm still extremely worried about the economy because it still looks like it's just gonna be fun for maybe a month or two whenever a server launches before it gets completely dominated by some sweaty tryhard semi-professional guild and casual players just quite literally cant play the game anymore…

  5. Every mmo has had downs and ups…it all boils down to the launch and if it's fun. I'm still along for the ride. My faith hasn't wavered. They need encouragement not Debby downers. They are the true underdog and still root for them 120%!

  6. Been following the game for years, have the most expensive $350 or so pack, after the recent announcement of A2 release dates and phases I feel like I got duped. I am no longer excited for this game and I won't even participate in the short term alpha 2 tests. I completely lost interest after the announcement. It's clear to me that Steven is willing to deceive and that he is not confident in his own product, which of course makes it silly for me to have any confidence either. Just sad.

  7. ..Meanwhile Pantheon rise of the fallen is looking better for every patch, and is going in to a form of early access in December with really fun game play and even greater combat system – I really hope things end up looking great for Ashes of Creation, the MMOrpg community need both Pantheon, Ashes and Monsters and memories etc.

  8. Well, if you have alpha 1 key, you should have access to the spot test and see it yourself.
I can’t say much. But I would suggest all of you to set the expectations as low as possible.

  9. I dont expect it to be as good as the dream they been segling. But I do believe it will still be better then most other mmorpgs out there

So I will enjoy for what it is

  10. Nbr.2 is my biggest concern, where any of the showcases from the last 3 years actually representative of the game? looking at the bard stream for example even A1 all the way back on UE4 looked far better then that.

  11. I understand your concern about having the first taste of the game that’s is then blasted to the world is the pvp blood bath just outside of town. We saw this in GTA five when it first released.

I played a game called “Stay out” that was largely rough around the edges, but once you got past the initial zone you could shoot or kill at any time, even towns.

Karma came in to play from the NPC guards would kill you on site if you just shot in a safe zone. And players shoot those with bad karma and would gain no negative karma. There was also a hefty penalty if there was a large disparity between levels and the unlevered player didn’t shoot back

In the game, there were different points of interest that we could fight over daily that would give us a strategic spawn point that would then build up and sue the weekly fights for the main Forts

Anyway, I love that game and I would have loved it even more if it was in a
nights of the round table type era.

  12. Haven't looked into AoC in probably near 2 years and just decided to check in and see about progress and enquire about forced pronouns and DEI potential after watching the fallout of Sony Concord and the new Dragon Age horror show (which will make me stay far away if they implement those things)… and this is first video I've watch in ages and the tone seems dire that things arent going too well…? Am I drawing the right conclusion here? This vid seems doomer gloomer vs past vids

  13. Simply, i agree about the PVP/Flagging system.

If this game allows open world pvp slaughterfest just at Level 1 , Launch day, thats terrible design.

10 players will enjoy this feature if its released as stupidly unbalanced and broken as it is, the other 9999999+ players will not.

  14. My friends and I were in High school when the Kickstarter dropped, we’ve since talked about the game every so often, we have keys for the Alpha 2, but I’m unsure how much time I’ll actually spend on it.

I was honestly expecting a larger amount of content ready for Alpha 2, May as well skip it and wait for Beta or the later stage of the Alpha, sure we bought into testing, but after all the time and money invested in the project, we were expecting something.. bigger, not half implanted systems in a singular barely content completed zone.

I am far from optimistic when it comes to a release date for this game, we are sadly looking at one of those “forever in beta” title. By the time it actually comes out, most players will have experienced the general experience and gotten bored of it. A MMO lives by its launch, and this long drawn out Alpha/beta will only but dry out the population.

I kinda see this game as the future Mortal Online 2, simply far better in quality, but I’ll be shocked if it gathers more players than New World did. This game will be lucky to retain 10K players online on average past launch.

  15. Love your observations – same as mine. Servers that break when logging in and the PVP gank box. To paraphrase Asmongold, in PVX, it's all about gear and kicking arse. There are the apex PVP that need and prey on PVE as resources. It will give my heart great joy when the white knight minions have a breakdown because they were high on Copium. AKA – the servers shut down due to overload, or why the average players leaving because they feel picked on (boo hoo)?? Prove me wrong Steven and Intrepid. Skaff.

  16. Valid concerns about the visual changes. There is a noted difference between past Livestreams and currents ones. Only a matter of time before those old streams "disappear" just like Pantheon did in their bait and switch graphics change.

  17. Narc, long time watcher and AoC lurker. This is probably your best video. Why? You're being more objective. It's okay to say a game you care about has a lot of issues because you are, in-fact passionate about it and don't want it to fail. It's okay to be "negative" about a game when the devs don't deliver on their promises/what is actively being sold. Sold for a LOT of money. Keep up the good work.

  18. It's not that I have no concern.. It's just that I stopped caring. Alpha 2 being weekend spot testing has me not wanting to test. Paying for long queues really makes me feel like an asshat.

  19. This game started the hype train in December 2016, that was way too early. I hope the game is decent, but I have a horrible feeling that by the time this launches, the game will be missing a ton of things they promised, and it will be too little too late.
