  2. Let's be real. With the slight possible exception of the Oct 25th weekend, which will be totally fubar in every aspect, it is not rational, based upon their proven track record, to expect that they will hit any of these dates or that any system/feature that is not already working in the production build of the game will actually appear in the projected Phase. Last year, they had 100k A2s, now they only have "over" 100k A2s, which makes no sense at all, unless they sold almost no A2 pre-order packs during the FOMO period leading up to Feb of this year. It does indicate that they are not being completely transparent about the number of A2 keys sold up to this point. They know the exact number, they are just not revealing it, possibly to conceal how absolutely inadequate their 3 NA realms will be. A vast number of testers will never get in on the first weekend because they will never get out of the queue. Phase 1 and Phase 2 are just a slight variation of the extended Pre-Alpha Two that many expected. The real "as promised" A2 will not start until May 2025 at the earliest and the safe money is that even that will be delayed. The listed numbers of various recipes and etc is deceptive, as many will simply be variations of the same item/activity rather than unique items/activities. The only real positive take from the AMA is that the game is still being developed and is continuing to make progress. Anything else is a unicorn ride over the make believe bridge in fantasy land.

So they just openly delayed the Persistent Alpha 2 that they've promised for over 3 years by roughly 8 months, decided to charge 120 Bucks for Alpha 2 keys (which is the full price of a deluxe version for a Triple A game) that don't even include Beta Access (they'll probably charge for that again), clearly underdeliver on content to start and somehow people are still excited.

    But hey, "it's not a game, it's a test, don't buy in" they said, while also trying to actively FOMO people into buying by slapping the classic "until supplies lasts" on. What a crazy world we live in.

  10. So Alpha 1.5 in 2 months, and hopefully Alpha 2 proper by June 2025 to last for another 2 years minimum. This game is not getting released in the next 4 years. By then Unreal 5 will start getting a bit long in the tooth and need an update.
    Let's just hope whatever they are working on is still relevant by then

  11. Having so much downtime at the start makes sense to me. It gives them 4 workdays to do fix issues that come up during testing. Those first few weeks will be a mess. Once the game becomes more stable it'll have more uptime.

  12. I think the keys are fairly priced. Comparing it to a AAA game u buy on a console platform is just plain weird. For most games only have about 15-50hours of play time depending on the genre.even in a2 you get more play time for the money and even comparing to subscription model. Its not that crazy if u consider the man power and servers they need to run a test of that size. Id’ say its a good deall. Because we get to play the game and as consumer the value pies in the in out u get in making the gamr and the experience u gain from playing it before release will give u a advantage so yeah good deall in my books .
    Me myself want to jojn the test because im curious of the computing power thats needed to play this game optimally and its prolly in their benefit to havr alot of ppl in different places with different systems. To see hoe to tweek the game performance wise.
    And im willing to put my 7800x3d
    And 7900xtx to the test to see how the games performance and if itt will be a big performance bottleneck for players who dont have 600$ + gpu’s

  13. Unfortunately. They knew exactly what they were doing with the persistent phrasing.. you said it yourself. People have been talking about the PERSISTENT A2 for years. There was NO MISCOMMUNICATION…..
