A lot of the visions for the game, written on the website, sound really bad to me.
So I have little expectations for AoC. Hopefully they prove me wrong! Because, as everyone else, I am starved for a good MMORPG.

Why does the game look like an early 2000's MMORPG, though?
I personally perfer the gameplay focus to be on the animations of my abilities, like in Lost Ark. Rather than the zoomed out WoW and FF14 style combat.

  2. People were joking AoC will take 10 years to develop
It's been now 7 years since the kickstarter and I'm not even sure if it will be out within the next 3 at this rate.
Fucking doomers were right on this one

  3. This is steven and his remake of archeage. It looks good so far though has yet to explain how it will over come the problems of archeage, dark fall unholy wars, AC, AC2 and the rest that tried this political system. I am afraid so far it will end in the same place just look better doing it. It sure is funny how different things are from the other side of the design wall. Man the wall everyone and dont let them in the fiefdom of coinclicking!

  4. When Ashes gets into beta it will be buried under an avalanche of bad word of mouth when people join expecting "the savior of MMOs" and are presented with an extremely PvP focused MMO that looks years old. They will play for a while, they will die, they will lose stuff, and they will say "This is stupid" and quit on the spot. The budget and scale of the game cannot support the resulting tiny playerbase they'll end up with after the drop.

This is why the developers have done everything possible to stall the development from reaching that point. There is literally no end in sight by design.
