  1. I think it's fair that people feel a certain way about the keys coming back. I don't think this decision had any malicious intent from Intrepid BUT folks never want to feel like they've been led on in a negative way.

  2. You don't know what testing they've done behind the scenes. There are 3rd party companies that can simulate players with any number of bots for a fee, and they could've done this to stress test the servers. If they weren't confident they could handle more load, they wouldn't have made that announcement.
And just because you don't care about getting the game for free, several months of free sub, cosmetics, and embers for their cosmetic store, doesn't mean other people don't. The price of nothing but a key should be much lower imo.
Edit: $40-$60 DEFINITELY seems reasonable for just a key.

  3. Stoked that they re-opened access, lots of friends and guild mates weren't gonna spend hundreds for A2 access, hopefully the reason they want more people is because they want to push the limits of bare metal servers. This just means I can share the testing experience with good people who I genuinely want to make some memories with.

  4. I wish they could release the keys a few months after the alpha 2 launch, that way a second wave of players would join in the game and everyone would be happy. I would be a little disappointed if they release the keys for sale before or together with alpha2. I think that is not fair with the ppl who trusted and bought the founder packages, I also think that starting to sell the A2 keys too early will not be good for the game, because it will open the gates to many haters, streamers and ppl who does not know what they are buying and participating. $40 or $200 dollars, I think nobody will care about the price if they open the keys sales months after the launch.

  5. I wish I could buy my way in been trying all week . I think it's not fair to put a cut off date since not everyone can come up with that money that easy. I'm disable and have a grandbaby I'm had to adopt so money is tight.

  6. Kind of think they should just bring back the last pack that was offered. Same cosmetics, extras, and same price. People who want to test can and those who already purchased don’t feel duped

  7. I think that referring to the bundle that we bought as alpha 2 keys isnt accurate, because we purchased more than just alpha 2 keys. We get alpha 2, beta 1, beta 2, skins, 6-9 months of gameplay…. so if they open just alpha 2 keys it should be alot cheaper.

  8. I too paid the $500 to test in Alpha 1 and beyond. I enjoyed testing in A1 and look forward to more testing in A2. For just the testing key (Alpha 2 only I'm assuming) probably at $100-$150.

  9. its a fine line here now, either they price it to low and everyone who already bought the packs get ticked off they didnt have to spend as much as they did, or 2 its priced to high and people complain about it being to expensive and greedy devs and so on. It a bit of a bad choice imo to mention opening A2 back up again
As far as i see it they have a couple options
1 – release key for a fair price like $60-80 and then give something a little extra to people with current packs, some embers or game time could work here maybe an exclusive costmetic outfit or something however that wont please the people not interested in cosmetics
2 – they release they key for $250 to not have people who bought in earlier feel shafted by intrepid
3- Open A2 packs for a fair price like 1 month after everyone who bought packs have gotten in.

  10. As long as they dont sell the keys for less than $275 i dont care. I'd be okay if they give them more embercoins and time to make up for the loss of the skins but even then it shouldn't be equal value.

  11. I very much doubt the option would be present but it would be nice to be refunded the price difference from the A2 pack to just a key price or at least some small kickbacks for putting faith in them

  12. Can't imagine they will sell it for less than 200 dollars. They will just add gametime and embers to it to pad it up as to not screw over the people that paid for the original packs.
