  1. To me Elden Ring was not a top 10 game of all time. It was good but only slightly better than dark souls games. Ashes might be good but forced pvp gonna make alot of people quit fast.

  2. To be fair most if the aoc livestreams and gameplay is shown live, while most other trailers are highly scripted and also AoC is work in progress so even though other mmos are looking better I’m not 100% certain that they will be better mmos than AoC.

  3. i mean look at Star Citizen. Floundered for a decade while they built at 1000 member AAA studio, figured out the engine, the server tech, how to develop 2 games at once. Enter Q4 2023: Squadron 42 nearly done, Star Citizen seeing massive content updates every quarter, server technology solved and in refinement actively with players on live servers. May literally be in beta state or launched by Q4 2025. These types of projects require patience, contribution, and tempered expectations — but man is it fun to ride along and influence the development.

  4. I'm not going to say the games is going to be bad, but it's going to be a niche game for sure, same as BDO is, and it WILL have its public but it's not going to compete against WoW or FFXIV.

  5. People have to understand that these long dev cycles for games are what's hurting gaming. It invites too much scope creep and having your devs only work on one project for too long stunts their growth and technical abilities (Which unfortunately a lot of devs are lacking these days.)

  6. Game is gonna be mid at best and die fast. It just looks like another, and every other MMO. The hype behind it will cause an even worse backlash than it probably should get. It seems like it's already dead and it's not out for another few years.

  7. The "exclusive cosmetics" that they sold that were just some concepts for a cosmetic that didnt even exist convinced me that this game is a scam. I hope im wrong, but until they prove me wrong by realeasing a good game, im sure its a scam.

  8. I dont understand why people get so hyped for a game that is years away from being released. It may not even make it to release at all. I learned my lesson from pantheon. Maybe once a game gets to beta and is almost finished but in early alpha stages anything can happen.

  10. Nobody is hyped about the riot MMO because it essentially got cancelled because the devs realized they had nothing special to offer the MMO genre. Its been shelves until they think of something better to do with it. Might never even come out.

  11. The best is when a good game comes out of nowhere and surprises people. I.e: Palworld, Enshrouded, GranBlue Relink, etc. I heard very little about any of those games until just before launch.

  12. In order for AoC to save itself from itself it needs to release zones that are complete and go Early Access while the rest of the zones get completed. As those zones get completed they release them as major content patches. This game is going to be DOA at this point simply because more games are coming out that are meeting or beating their graphics/gameplay. It truly blows my mind how long this game has been in development and we're JUST NOW talking about Alpha 2. I want to be hype for this game but I can't anymore.

  13. @17:00 100% agreed with Asmon on this. I’ve given way more than $500 in support of Star Citizen and that is just support of their work. I am not “owed” anything. I just let it cook and hopeful the outcome is favorable. Meanwhile ppl that bought a $45 starter pack scream and cry about the dumbest things. I find it crazy.

  14. To get this invested into something that is in Alpha is just insane. Especially on a project that has a this massive weird component to it. Let's be honest here, if they just making an MMO, the project would have entered beta by now. Where the hitch lies, is the evolving towns, they have to decide at how many races they'll stick to, give each races diametrically different styles from one another so that when ones race component appears in a town design, everyone can point and say: "Oh, it's that race design". And in my opinion is what is eating most of their dev time.

  15. I honestly have 0% trust in AoC.
The reason is simple: Every single newsletter (at least until I stopped subscribing to them) had a section advertising a massive amount of shop items that would never be avaiable after a specific date (normaly a few days to a month from the email).

You do not even have a finished game stop selling limited time fomo items, especially when you claim that your game is 100% financed already.

It just looks like a massive scam for me.

  16. 1:30 My man finally moved away from 10+ years of nothing but WoW and thinks hes Mr variety streamer.

Reminds me of friends back in school who would lose their virginity and then act like they know what all women want.
