Is MMO Ashes Of Creation losing excitement? I have yet to watch this video, but found the title (Why Iām No Longer Excited For ASHES OF CREATION) enticing and wanted to live react with you all. Most AOC content is fairly positive so I thought this would be interesting to see a different perspective as an aoc content creator.

Can an Indie studio do this? here's the real question..is any AAA studio making anything this ambitious out the gate? Last time I checked the only studios coming out with great games that I genuinely enjoyed were Indie studios…Imagine if people said all this about Larian Studios and didn't give BG3 a shot?

So a few points… they have many teams working on every aspect of this game and they literally can't show us everything without making the dev updates 5 hours long…
I truly believe that the game is a good 75% or more done and only classes and UI are left to be worked on as they are 90% of the hard work, environment is easy with the right tools.
As for core systems (this includes nodes) are done and they wouldn't have given us a A2 timeframe without it being finished.
I hope no more shop stuff opens until the game comes out, including the beta access.
As for this dude, he's a troll who is just trying to farm up drama for views. We can be active with our criticism and Intrepid is one of the only companies that will engage with us via the discord and forums. No need to make a trolly smackdown video if you truly want to effect change.
I believe the augments will not be in A2 at the start.
Augments start at level 25 and we have not seen a character above level 15 yet.
So I think A2 will start with a level cap of level 15 or 20.
We have also not seen anything yet about religions or guild systems.
So I believe most of these systems will come in way later in A2.
Problem is all content creators like you,RG,richie,narc and other hype too much AoC.I can say neeko is right and realistic!I follow this game from kickstarter and playing over 25 years this genre so everything is possible this game can fail in alpha 2 already!its hard to talk anything before alpha 2 and test everything in the game!as i said no point to hype game before be released!

I think Neeko is right, no matter how uninformed he is, he knows more than the average out-of-echochamber ashes follower, and his pov is how most ppl see ashes right now, trust is low and hype is dead outside of our biased community.
Steven needs to show more, PR needs to ramp up now that we are close to A2, and if anyone is scared of spoilers they can just look away (Looking at King -.-), but if they keep hiding things, the "what we see is what they have" argument will just keep being reinforced.
PS: scoop creep happens when you increase the scoop, ashes hasn't had scoop creep yet, just a damn big initial scoop.

The dude in the original video has no resume/experience in the field. Why does his opinion matter? It doesn't. He's a YT influencer with no credibility.
I feel like Crowfall had tons of potential, but outside of those playing it, very few knew what it was. Those few that remembered seeing news about it years ago had no clue it actually launched.
Steven should learn from this failure and start slowly ramping up the advertising, pick a realistic and reachable solid launch date, and blow people's minds with an amazing video ad right before open Beta. People need to absolutely BELIEVE that this game is real and coming soon.
Thanks for the reaction; always good to get different views on our Ashes of Creation in development. I would not consider Alpha 2 early access. Alpha 2 is a testing phase – there will be wipes and plenty of changes as systems are implemented and modified with our feedback. Video edit suggestion: 5 min of stream starting soon? why include this on video. I'd recommend not having this part of this video – I feel it only detracts from your yahoo video.

Eh. The hype cycle is dying down. Fine. They'll be a new hype cycle on Alpha 2; and another new one on release. That'll be the only one that matters.
