The commissions update was actually much better than I originally thought. It went into detail on how it connects to other systems in Ashes of Creation. This is something that I really want to mess around with in Alpha 2 because there will be several different outcomes.

I didn't really think it was a sleeper at all, buuuuut I like learning about all the smaller systems.
Node sieges and upgrades (or whatever you call the town/city evolution mechanic) are great and all but those are gonna be rare events (afaik).
I'm most likely gonna be solo-dolo so, like, how important are caravans to me? Despite my online ravings (lol), I'm not gonna be attacking caravans or even maybe really escorting them ever. These, though, are the systems and mechanics that we're going to be interacting with on the regular. I feel like these are the systems, as you pointed out, that will help players like me feel like we're helping the node and help us feel some immersion and ownership for the node we set up home in. I ride for my node, I die for my node.

“Filler” is crazy 😂 This is actually a big part of the game, and provides more info about pacing. It’s literally what you will spend most of your time doing while lvling. And daily between the medium and big notes. It also answered an important question about what they are thinking about world difficulty wise.
Since commissions will be the one of the most impactfull ways to level up your node and your character at the same time, i'm pretty confident that a lot of people will do commissions.
