Great video! The ranger is an amazing class in most games and I believe it will be even better in Ashes. For me the style of the ranger is something beyond any other class, I agree with a lot of what you have already said with the ranger and its connection to the wild. The ability to draw on that very nature to defend yourself and take down enemies is just such an amazing feeling!
The brand new studio looks great with your Ranger set up!. I love the fighter, getting up in battle straight up face to face with someone. Also crafting metal weapons and heavy armor.
If the game allows me to heal people with my bow by shooting them, I am picking ranger. It would be also hilarious if those type of healers have the longest range.

Iv played a few mmo^s trough the years never followed the "meta", im having more fun figuring out my own build and what works… i usually tend to be some sort of heal, just bc its the tradisjonal support class, but the cleric didnt really peal my banana the way I thought it would… Im pretty sure im rolling Bard at launch (bc theres NO effin way i can afford alpha access :()

I love the Ranger for most of the same reasons you described. I've never been hunting for live prey, but was quite proficient with a bow in my teens. I've had animals my whole life and couldn't live without them. I've always been happiest trekking through the woods or working my garden. Ranger just speaks to everything I love. Can't imagine playing another class!

For me, it is the holy warrior sword and shield the bastion who steps forward to meet the foe and allow my companions to unleash their attacks without a foe seeking to directly harm them.
