  3. I've been following the game for years, and they can dress it up however they want, but you're absolutely NOT going to get the optimal experience out of this game if you're not willing to PvP. It's just being designed that way from the ground up. Risk vs. reward means you don't get crap if you arent willing to risk your ass in PvP. Period.

  4. I don't think you will need to go into the game LOOKING for pvp, but if you HATE pvp I can't imagine you'll have much fun in AoC. I think most people fall somewhere in the middle, pvp is ok but it's not the greatest thing in the gaming world, and for those people I think AoC will be strongly appealing. For people who DO think pvp is the single greatest thing in computer games, I suspect they will consider AoC pretty lame.

  6. PvP will be unavoidable. It will be interesting to see what mechanisms they will have in place to prevent griefing or abuse. I mean something beyond the corruption system. It's fine to deterr individuals but not larger groups. A perfectly good experience can quickly spiral out of control if a handful of people band together with a bad intent – as is sure to happen -. A worst case scenario is those becoming a majority and having the ability to lock down a server (lower pop?) theoretically. We've seen this happen in most player driven games. Thoughts?
