  1. Having a dynamic world event like GW2 is excellent. I would like to see if active World, POI, and node events are not achieved they escalate in intensity. Rading hoard is not taken care of then they grow into an army that descends on your node or spills out into other surrounding nodes. Giving Rangers hunt quests, and Healer's divinity quests, fighters glory quests would be great. Every main class in the game should have class-specific quests and events they can do. I hope they pepper in other sub-class quests. I hope eventually the game adds Narrated quest lines like EOS voiceovers for quest-givers. It adds to emersion. I know that this is not planned but hope they add it at some point. GW2, EOS, and others that have added this make the game a lot better.

  2. I like the idea of keep lords. I hope that you can buff them. We used to take a keep in DAoC with like 4 people, buff the shit out of the keep lord and just farm for hours as the other team(s) tried to take it back 🤣

  3. I am very concerned about gold. If it's all materials, certificates, and Node Currency, then how will the marketplace function?

    He mentioned keeping certificates to pay taxes. If you can't pay Node Taxes with Node Currency, then what the heck?

    There's at least three different kinds of currencies here, maybe more depending on hour you slice it, most of them soul bound, all obtained in different ways, and all useable for different purposes.

    Because of that, I expect these currencies to get out of whack, some being more valuable than others.

    How do I sell the armor I make? For what currency? What can I do with that currency? What can't I do?

    If players have to convert one currency to another, presumably taxed on that, the economy could easily grind to a halt.

    If we are reduced to barter, the economy likewise could easily grind to a halt.

    I am dubious.

  4. Have they stated what the max number of characters per server will be? Or if they will have a good method to prevent people using alts to join an enemy's node and spy on or sabotage their war efforts?

  5. You and I both know they missed a big opportunity with that interview, balance questions, repeat topics (DPS meters), and suggesting weird systems. I don’t expect you to say anything here, but damn… if only Steven had gone in voices of Vera.

  6. I don’t know a good alternative but I’ve been in groups in dungeons with no dmg meters and clearly dps was lacking. We had no idea who wasn’t pulling their weight and ended up blaming tank/healer for not being able to sustain so long. I am the biggest advocate for viability of a class beyond dmg meters. But there needs to be some gauge to know if a particular party member isn’t pulling their weight.

  7. Damage meters are too simplistic. If I'm blocking heals, doing hard CC, and keeping the group alive, the damage meter won't reflect that. So taking an applicant on a run will tell you more about how they fit in the guild more than any damage meter or armor metric will.
