So I started playing ArcheAge Unchained in 2023. This game is partly to blame for the development of Ashes of Creation, so I was interested to see what they hype was in regards to this MMORPG.

Nothing highlights the wasted potential of Archeage more then the fact it made billionaire fan go "screw you I'll do it myself!" And that's why Ashes of creation exists.

Archage was my favorite mmo ever.

Archeage is my favourite mmo, and I've played pretty much every fresh start. The game has the best systems in any mmo on the market, such as tradepacks, meaningful open world pvp encounters over world bosses, housing, crafting, ocean content, etc. Its a damn shame that the developers have handled it so poorly, but I'm hopeful aa2 will be an improvement. Unchained's launch had a couple issues with exploits, but the reason it ended up failing was the sheer amount of mandatory daily quests you had to complete to stay relevant gearscore wise. Recent freshstarts have changed some of these to weekies, but there's still a ton of other daily events that trigger at specific times throughout the day that you have to attend. On the topic of Sharif, he ran a giant zerg guild at launch named " the white order ". He had a really sketchy monetization model where you could donate money ( both irl and ingame ) to earn ' guild points ' which could be spent on things like having the entire guild run tradepacks to freedich for you to turn in yourself, or entering a raffle to attend the irl guild meeting in vegas. I'm hesitant to instantly hop on the Ashes hype train due to my run-ins with Sharif, but I hope I'm wrong and Ashes turns out great!
ArcheAge Classic will release on August 4th. Everyone who likes ArcheAge should definitely try
They all ended up becoming p2w that people still played bdo,lost ark,wow(buy gold for anything in the game you want) even eso is p2w with mythics locked behind a pay wall and rift…..even in ff14 you can buy gill to pay for things.
archeage was just the first p2w mmo that caused outrage even tho those players play p2w mmos today.
Will you ever return to ESO? You were my fav eso content creator still enjoy the new videos tho!
