As much as I'd love to see all the things you listed, especially the node developing through different stages. I don't think it's going to happen. I suspect we will get a similar static type demonstration with possibly another slideshow.
The biggest thing for me is node cities being unique, when a node war happens i want them to feel different each time darkfall did quite well here with city layouts.
Different strats for each node due to layout and terrian there built on.
I also kinda want them to stick with riverlands only with showcases outside of biome showcases, i dont wanna be spoiled when A2 comes just let us disect riverlands and leave the other nodes out of it till A2 so there brand new for everyone
Nodes for Life
You have pointed out a glaring omission that I, personally, and I suspect many others, didn't recognize. My impression of the Freeholds update had been that they had shown a functioning example of the system. However, that's clearly not the case. As you said, they should have started from a blank parcel of land and demonstrated the placement, upgrade, and use of buildings and structures, as this is the actual game play that testers would expect to utilize in Alpha 2. Seeing is believing, and without the functional evidence, that pre-placed Freehold, at face value, has an equal chance of being only an in-editor mock up, or, only slightly better, a hand polished, set dressed example display. I must conclude that the actual coding of the system could be in an incomplete, clunky, or perhaps even non-working state. In a perfect world, SS would watch your video here and respond to it point by point. Perhaps we should all go to the AoC Discord and PM bomb him with links to this presentation. I do hope that all of your points will be addressed at some point before, after, or during the live stream.
Riverlands best Zone
This sounds like way more than they have ever shown in a single month… I'm expecting it to try as best as possible. To strike a balance between showing us how the system works and marketing.
Ashes = Combat + Nodes + Crafting
The more that Intrepid can showcase on the node system now, the more feedback they can get from fans/players.

Great video. You are stating a lot of good points and questions that need to be answered.
I would like to see more renkai art and buildings
Dunir nodes being built in mountains and Elven nodes spiraling around already-existing trees is really a huge ask. From a technical perspective that sounds like a mountain of work. They're going to make them feel unique using the architecture, and that will have the "mountain" or "forest" vibe.
I agree that we need to see how the housing progresses along with node advancement and perhaps some other systems such the mayoral interface, the treaty system, the rebuilding process after a fall, and public spaces and taverns.
I also would like to see a different biome, such as the Tropic or Redwood Forest biomes. Or even the Badlands if it is expected to abailable during the upcomming Alpha.
Nodes are a gameplay elements that sounds good on paper but in practice will probably be ao basic and underdeveloped.
