Idk, the $500 alpha is almost to disuade people from playing it. The BR game clearly was made to create some back end systems that clearly have worked if you played prealpha, and alpha 1. Steven gets shit for stuff that isnt that big of a deal.

Nice, I've been waiting for this video. I love having large maps to just get lost in, plus this world should be super fun to explore if they can deliver on all the different dynamic elements. There's going to be player housing that will probably move around over time and is interactive like taverns, different node progressions over time, seasons, event system, guild wars, roaming bosses, and resource migration/exhaustion. This will give me plenty of reason just to walk around hanging out with friends who live far away.
I like Dogdamn better. I mean who knows when you reverse the three letters. 🙂
My prediction> Unfortunately Alpha 2 will only be mid 2024 due to action combat tech debt of sub arktypes
Beta 1 will be mid 2025 with almost every ingame quest/world design features implemented
Beta 2 will be end of that same year with almost everything done
Game launch will be early 2026
Great video, I needed a reminder of all they have accomplished so far. It can be easy to just focus on all that has yet to be finished and forget what has been finished for some time now. I hope A2 launches by end of next year.

I play new world with my brother and 4 other friends and we love it there some frustrating this with delay update but most of the time is worth the way we play mostly pve.

That's why I said Alpha2 would be a horizontal slice of the world, because they'll have to test inter-continental Caravans, and Sea battles around the central Pirate Castle in particular. Steven confirmed the horizontal Alpha 2 in the Q&A.
