Ashes Of Creation will reveal the tank archetype soon. AOC is an upcoming MMO that is very exciting. The tank archetype / class will be the next showcase feature for January. In this video we discuss what to expect, pvp tanking in mmos, pve tanking, taunt systems, and how will active or passive block work.   5. My idea for Tanks in PVP is to make them like a personal bodyguard where they can soul link one person and some of the damage is re-directed to the Tank. With taunt reducing the opponents damage further to any target that isn't the Tank. As well as lot of CC, maybe he can also dash towards an ally and give both a damage shield.

    Where as the Cleric, and Bard and probably Summoner will protect and enhance the group; the Tank will focus on protecting one person and making them very tough to take down.

    So, naturally you're gonna want Tanks linked to your Cleric and Bard in large scale. But I think you could be say, a Ranger and run around with a Tank buddy and take people out in small groups.

    I got the idea from Leauge of Legends, where you have Tanky supports that set up damage dealers and protect them allowing the protected damage dealer to mop the floor with multiple opponents in some cases.

  6. i play 23 years mmorpg games only fighter/tank and assassins,i only hope to see back tank in AoC(with real block system)and no consume stamina when i use block,bcs last 4-5 mmos what i play there is no real tank class!

  7. A tank class with a actual skill gap in it would be pretty neat rather than eso where * for the most part * it's just hold block maybe rotating between some skills that change situation to situation would be fun to do
