I am very excited to see the direction they've taken the gathering. I will admit, I was skeptical they could pull off the "everything gatherable" route but it seems intrepid never disappoint.
Remember, feedback is super important and Steven most certainly reads every comment you make (millionaires ammiright 😏)

  2. Not sure how the corruption system makes any one happy…the players that just want to peacefully craft and harvest get ganked and the gankers get severely penalized for a game play the game allows…who is that going to make happy? I also don't trust developer to be smarter then players when in comes to finding ways to circumvent systems of control

  3. Ultima Online did this living world thing back in 1997, they sound just like Richard Garrett back in the day … kill all the rabbits and the wolves move on to a new hunting ground … Yada,..Yada the only problem was players were like a flock of locust clear cutting the world of creatures and plants within a week of the game going live,.. the living world systems that sounded spectacular in a sales pitch in practice failed miserably…leaving players in a dead baren sandbox game with no toys to play with

  4. Many players might disagree with me. When I discover something in nature, such as when the leaves and sticks break beneath my shoe whilst walking through a trail in the woods make sounds, cracking and splintering, I'm receiving these sounds as natural and parts of my environment. When my ears hear the sound my monkey brain knows something is being separated from another thing (Crrrrrrrrrrrrack!). Why shouldn't we be sensing and feeling these MMO/RPG improvements as we play, naturally, rather than being fed them in advance? It would be very cool to discover these advances naturally as they happen during gameplay.

  6. Again, if initiating a non-consentual PvP has more negative consequences than positive, then why it's even in the game?
I get organized warfare, even if it does includes unorganized skirmishes. I get caravan risk/reward game. But why even have an open-world always-on PvP if the attacking party is essentially doomed?
If I try to rob someone, I'm doomed.
If I try to attack someone harassing me, I'm doomed, lolwut

  7. I wanted to say for mounts(talking about animations). For dragons century age of ashes is peak dragon flying animation wise even though it’s super fast paced it can be altered. And everybody knows rdr2 has the best horses ever so when it comes to animation and control some ground mounts take inspiration from those as well

  8. Hold the line boys! We few who played Archeage know this system works especially as improved by Ashes, we know it can produce the most exhilarating heart pumping memories in an mmo. We know this gameplay is going to make our choices matter, that we won’t feel just like hamsters on a wheel where we are just trading time for an inevitable reward, we know that risk gameplay is going to create the most beautiful memories, drama, politics, and FUN!

  10. While I loved much of the gathering showcase, some of the animations felt off. The rocks and trees were great, but the flowers flew like crazy. Also, I'd like to see the character stoop down and visibly collect apples/petals.
