Narc, you keep saying that AOC is just trying to be a good MMO that respects your time and nothing more. That means it will just be competing with other current MMOs, and not really stand out compared to them, and if the people are fine with that then go ahead. To me personally I want something new, unique and fresh. I hate the tab target combat and I think the action combat is non existent, we just saw it in their latest update "hybrid" combat. Theres no innovation in going with the standard outdated tab target combat system. I believe AOC will be decent, but not really unique or innovative, especially if you heavily emphasize on AOC prioritizing PVP over PVE and still choosing to go tab target. Besides, how will it even be fair to those that choose to go "hybrid" combat over someone that uses target? It's going to cause a lot of frustration believe it or not
Josh doesn't understand AoC because he never truly followed it and never actually dissect it like Narc. So he has no rights or power to talk about it. Once he actually put his time in research and understanding of AoC development path, then he can talk.
It's funny JHS spoke up about MMO content creators then pushes games like Pantheon that literally kills content for creators. Josh is part of toxic MMO problem we all suffer from.

Some of the biggest evidence against the AOC is a scam crowd is probably the job listings they have in San Diego right now. I live in the county of San Diego and literally had no idea that the studio is 20 minutes from me. I looked at the job listings they have and they require a lot of really good to see things. They want devs with like 5 years of experience in online games and stuff like that.
Pantheon will be the game the LORE MASTERS and RPG mmo players will flock to ASHES is the wow looking MMO …
The only time I ever hear about this pantheon game is when i come on this channel so all the memes go over my head. I dont know what it is but at least you put on AoC content

AOC had me intrigued right off the bat with the NODE SYSTEM. I thought this was an outstanding idea to build a MMO around. Call it scope creep if you want but UE5 was also a great choice. I took a break with this game's early development during APOC. I admit it was a confusing time and I assumed the MMO had been scrapped, which saddened me. It could have been explained better. However, ever since then I have been listening and watching all AOC content and livestreams. Scam has never entered my mind since APOC.

Can you do a video about the pyramid scheme scam that Steven made all his money from? It might answer your question as to why people are still nervous about AOC.
Also, remember that AOC will never make any money after they release. No matter how good it is, it will die rapidly like all other MMOs. The MMO player base is just to diverse and will never be happy. So keeping it in devolpment for as long as possible will make them the most $$$$.
Regardless of what any negative Nancy wants to say about this game, I will be playing it upon release. I am worried though that the need to push content for vids will try and ruin this game as the elite hard core try to beat the game on day 1 then bitch about lack of end game. Sounds familiar I know.
I've backed both Pantheon and Ashes for $1,000 and in all honesty, the only reason I was hopeful for Pantheon was because of Brad McQuaid. On top of that, as you pointed out, the nomenclature about, if Pantheon fails, you won't get your money back pretty much says it all. Of course, I'd never expect my money back, so long as they continue to work on it. Of course, Chronicles of Elyria is a prime example of how to scam people out of money and if Visionary Realms decides to go that route, then that will pretty much end their future careers in the gaming industry.
Not lowering the price of alpha or beta keys makes sense and he shouldnt. However continuing to charge for cosmetics is pure bullshit. Those should be accessible in the game. Not only that, if the game was funded to completion in advance then fomo and cosmetics should never have existed to begin with. People like narc use to call him out and trash him often for doing this. I subscribed to narc a looong time ago to help get his voice out there fight against those practices. It seems obvious something has changed and narc isnt nearly as resolute in his stance as he previously was. He would call it out loudly and often but now its more of a head nod of acknowledgment. Maybe its time to move on.

APOC is what caused the biggest damage to AoC. I lost all faith in the game after that disaster. I will wait until release, but the amount of hype it's been getting is going to crush it's future imho.
