Yep, I am on the same boat as you guys. I do think that there should be some sort of PvE content that is somewhat challenging. It doesn't have to be progression raiding or instanced but I have to ask the question "How long will grinding the same open world dungeon be fun for?" A few weeks? A couple of months? After that there has to be some sort of content that will keep me engaged. Hopefully, their node system will work as Steven said and we will get new content to open up w/e nodes get lvled up or something happens in the world. This game has tremendous potential.
