I personally don't understand why people like huge fights of things like 100 vs 100 or 500 vs 500. It ends up being super bland, because at worst you're killed instantly due to random fire or focus fire regardless of how skilled you are, and at best you spam some ranged AoE and contribute your boring 1% to the team, more-or-less regardless of how skilled you are.
It's boring at best and boring at worst. Then there's also the issue of system lag if you don't have a top notch machine, and network lag even if you do.

I've been following this game for years and I gotta say, it looks promising but people are way over hyping it. It is probably going to be something like a new world bug-free on release (Hopefully). New world still had a solid base and would've maintained it's popularity if it wasn't such a shit show. I don't expect a lot of content on release Unless they plan to wait until 2025 or something.

Anything above 200 players in one place is going to have optimization/lag problems – especially considering how good the graphics are.
What's the story with those"pizza" boxes? I bring it up because they seem kinda fake. Like did he seriously just buy a bunch of boxes that say "pizza" on them just as props? seems pretty dumb.

Hearing Steven talk about how systems will work reminds me of Ion's/wowdevs philosophy of how systems should work in wow. It all sounds amazing on paper, but when it actually comes to playing that, it sucks balls. Hell it was the same for even gw2 when it was in early development.
I hope thats not the case for AoC, but I'm skeptical until I see it.
the more they copy gw2 the better, specifically the combat.
Dunno if it's just me but I'm sick of these MMO's saying we have a beautiful world to explore, yeah so does every other MMO. I want to know how the combat feels, how much content there is to do etc etc etc
new world was absolutely not a hot girl, maybe if you were wearing red tinted glasses you couldve mistaken them but buddy those flags were all red
the bit about the beta mentality from consumers has been proven to be a correct fear and reaction so many times now. Even though it is silly to react that way when shown in development stuff saying that peoples reactions are invalid for that sillyness is what gives the devs their idea of ignoring the feedback and not making the changes to whats being criticised. Its kind of a doomed if you do, doomed if you don't from the consumer perspective.
In fairness most games that tout "betas" launch like trash.

Guys, just chill and wait for them to release…we dont want them to push it out, the the turd New World was. I hope its a great game and I will be playing the crap out of it but I have to keep my expectations in check. I hope more people chill with the hype train. Like Josh Strife Hayes says "dont board the hype train because it never stops where you think its going to stop"
