Another 4 months has gone by since my last Ashes of Creation update video so today, I’m gonna recap the past 4 development livestreams for the people who casually follow the project and don’t have time to tune in to the hour+ long livestreams each month.
In this video we’ll cover the Ashes Alpha 2 Ranger Combat Update, The Caravan PVP Gameplay Showcase, The Commissions Preview And The Orc Fighter Class Overview.
We’re only a few months away from Ashes Of Creation Alpha 2 Release Date where the game will finally be playable again, so expect one more of these updates before we can finally enjoy this highly ambitious upcoming MMORPG.

–Ashes Of Creation MMO Description–
Ashes Of Creation is a colossal MMORPG attempting to provide fans of PVP, PVE and Roleplay an everchanging world and the ultimate MMO experience, the game will have the following:
9 different playable races both with male and female options.
1200 square kilometer world size at launch, 85 Nodes in the world, EVERY Resource you see is gatherable just like in New World.
Fully open world game where you can go from one size of the map to the other no loading screens.
Dungeons, Raids, World Bosses, Open World PVP with a criminal system, Caravan PVP, castle sieges, node sieges, arenas, duels, guild wars, crafting and artisan system, monster coin events, political system, citizenship, player run shops, taverns with parlor games, top tier character customization, transmog cosmetic collection, 64 different class combinations, 3 different forms of player housing both open world and instanced, achievements, leaderboards, gathering, questing, hybrid combat system, player driven economy with localized storage, pets, massive guild system with guild halls, both land and water mounts and 18 different biomes in the world.
Ashes started development back in 2016 in Unreal Engine 4 however at the end of 2021 upgraded its engine to Unreal 5 to make use of the latest advancements in gaming tech such as nanite, lumen and a more efficient development pipeline, In terms of funding the game was successfully kickstarted in 2017 however the vast majority of the games funding comes from creative director Steven Sharif, a successful entrepreneur who like most of us has been a lifelong MMO fan that was unhappy with the current state of the MMORPG genre, Ashes Of Creation is fully funded to completion and despite offering paid access to Alpha and Beta tests is not reliant on these funds to finish development.
This game will have zero pay to win, a cosmetic only cash shop with no convenience items and a $15 per month subscription fee business model with no box cost.
A sand park MMO is basically a hybrid of theme park and sandbox, there’s a lot of player driven content however there’s also developer curated scripted encounters such as raids and dungeons…This is the category of MMO that Ashes Of Creation falls into and personally It’s my favorite type of MMORPG.

I've lost hope in the genre so far, started with runescape, move on to ragnarok online, rose online then a bunch of korean mmos troughout the years, stuck with gw2 for quite awhile then they didnt update wvw much and somehow got worse as the years goes by. Tried new world, hoping for it to be the anchor for me n my friends to reunite after 10 years of trying to get comfy jobs ourselves and that didnt last long, felt super bad that I even recommend it to my friends thinking its going to be the next best thing.
hopefully this is it, my friends and I are approaching our mid life crisis age, hopefully this will anchor it in the future. no pressure. 🙂 in the meantime, I'm letting activision keep me feeling disappointed and lower the bar for any future games that will be the one.

The last hope for mmorpgs is EVE ONLINE. You know, the new UO. The game that every other company stole the majority of their business and gameplay loops from. For the last 20 years. Sure the pop may always be 30k, but they still set every trend years before. If they had done fantasy they'd have been superior to WoW, they chose military sci fi sandbox which isnt for everyone. When they step to the shooter and fantasy scene, AND THEY'RE COMING; you will understand completely that they were the LAST HOPE. Steven Sharif IS NOT IT, he's triple anus he cited ARCHEAGE.

The developer of AoC is so kind that they wait for all of us to get a better PC before releasing their game
Combat still looks super janky. In PvP, escpecially small scale I think it will feel awful, almost reminds me of a super super scuffed GW2 combined with some AA aspects.
Hope they take some feedback from some experienced PvP players. All the best to the devs but so far im still not sold that it will have any quality to it.
Why is everyone hyping this game so much?? Are we watching the same video? This look and plays like Allods online. It's about 10 years late graphically and combat is straight up WoW tabtargetting.

Honestly this seems like the game I watch on youtube where the person boiled 30 hours of footage down to 10 minutes with all the "and then we waited" parts cut out.

Man, this shit looks like a 2009 game.
For the lighting concern, they've said that lighting will be getting an overhaul before A2. They also said it will be the single biggest improvement to visuals that they do.
I feel like no matter what it does, ashes can't live up to the hype it has around it. It's gonna disappoint a lot of people and potentially fail.

One upside of all the dead games and projects, is all the games you played along the way. Imagine if WOW stayed good and we never switched from that, it's been a journey through shite but an occasional gem and good friends we're found.
I think charge up the hill is a terrible idea. It makes reading the terrain useless.

the riot mmo wasnt gonna anything new, i seen and played mmos like league so, it would of played like that i bet, ashes have cool ideas and mostly nothing new, seen it years ago, it doesnt do much new, some cool things sure, but nothing big imo, it will just be a mmo to try for a bit and move on, that is like most if not all mmos tbh and that if it ever comes out, and imo bdo is the semi best mmo cause the no loading(mayyybe some, very little thou) bigass open world, a new mmo need that lvl of world and freedom, imo the truely best mmo would be mabinogi features and charm+vindictus combat+bdo open world freedom and combat= best mmo imo. ofc even then it will only last so long cause mmos are like that, sad but true, but im sure a mmo like that would last a long ass time thou, no doubt.
